Greater Kailash was developed by the DLF builders in late 1950s. Today some of the most influential and richest people in Delhi reside here. Thanks to the presence of the rich, you can expect luxurious showrooms, tasteful restaurants and the most chic and trendy clothes in entire Delhi. The Greater Kailash is divided into two phases, G K-I (M block market) and G K-II; the latter being a trifle more expensive. ExtensionSouth Extension is another classy market which is again divided into two phases. This market is well known for its designer and custom-made stores, which the affluent frequent almost everyday. You can see a lot of cash / credit card rich teenagers living their life in absolute bliss. The South Ex-I is a ten minute drive from Ring Road and is home to several stores like Benetton, Tommy Hilfiger, Nike, Mehrasons Jewelery Store, Bengali Sweets Centre, Tekson's Bookshop, Mango, Nalli, Tanishq, BG's and Sehgal Bros. So enjoy your shopping spree in South Extension.
The South Ex-II has national and international brands like Givo, Van Heusen and Louis Philippe, Levi's, Pepe, Wrangler, Ray Ban, Reebok accessories and textiles from well-known brand names such as Dormeuil, Reid & Taylor, Holland & Sherry, Raymond and Digjam. You can also have some Indian snacks from the hawkers to curb you hunger but these might give you 'Delhi-Belly'. Do try and go on weekdays since the market is closed on Mondays and the weekends see crowds of penultimate proportion. It will seem to you as if there was a rumor of 'flat 80 % off on all items sale', so don’t worry. Be careful of pick-pocketing and enjoy.
