ISKCON TempleThe ISKCON temple in Delhi, a magnificent shrine devoted to Lord Krishna, is a calm and soulful place of worship. Made by the International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON) in 1998, it is also known as the Hare Rama Hare Krishna temple. ISKCON temple in New Delhi is one of the 40 such temples in India and the odd 100 all over the world. The entire temple is decorated with Radha-Krishna paintings done by Russian devotees.

Location
ISKCON temple in Delhi is situated on Raja Dhirshain Marg, Sant Nagar, East of Kailash, near Lotus Temple.

Prayer Timings
The prayers are repeated here six times a day. Morning prayer timings are 4.30 am, 7.15 am and 7.45 am and evening prayer timings are 12.30 pm, 7.00 pm, 7.45 pm. The main prayer hall closes from 12.00 pm to 4.00 pm. Special programmes like Kirtan, Aarti, Pravachan and Prasadam are held every Sunday.

The Temple Complex
The entire temple is basically made up of red and yellow sandstone. The interiors are very simple in nature and decorated with paintings. The main attraction is the central hall which has a beautiful statue of Radha-Krishna and the walls decorated with religious quotes and customs. The temple museum has various models depicting Vedic tradition and culture including clothes, games, cuisines etc of that era. The state of art audio-visual hall organizes multimedia shows to help the devotees understand the story of the epics Ramayana and Mahabharata. There are talks for developing special section on Forbidden Archaeology based on human existence since the earth formed.

One can buy religious books and reading material from the book stall near the ISKCON Temple gate. There is an Animatronics Centre show created by using hi-end technology, the show is controlled by three computers networked together and connected to a remote control. The temple premises also have an all vegetarian restaurant which serves delicious food at affordable charges. Though the entry to the temple is free and is open to all, the halls and the shows above charge a nominal fee for maintenance.
