Netaji Subhash Park is a small but beautiful garden
adjoined with another park called Urdu Park. Netaji Subhash Park is
mainly famous for two things, first is the huge striking figure of
Netaji Shubhash Chandra Bose in the attire of a military leader and the
second is the number of masseurs or the maalish-wallahs available there.
Since they are supposed to be really good, one can get a massage
surrounded by nature and save money by not going to an expensive spa.
The natural surroundings would relax and rejuvenate anybody. Admission
to the Netaji Subhash Park Delhi is free and open to all and there are
no photography charges.
Location
Netaji Subhash Park is located in Old Delhi on the main Netaji Subhash
Marg just opposite Sunehri Masjid.
Timings
The park is open form six in the morning till seven in the evening.
How to Reach
One can reach Netaji Subhash Park by opting for the local bus services.
Alternatively they can hire autos at a pre settled price or take a taxi.
For a more comfortable ride you can board a metro rail and get down at
Chandni Chowk Station. And thereafter take a rickshaw.
Nearby Tourist Attractions
You can see some of the famous and some ancient monuments like Red
Fort, Jama Masjid, Chandni Chowk, Salimgarh Fort, St James Church and
Rajghat.
Nearby Shopping Venues
There are lots of nearby markets like Chandni Chowk (curios, souvenirs,
silver and glass bead jewelry) Nai Sarak (books), Chor bazaar
(electronic goods), Daryaganj book market (on Sunday) and Chatta Chowk
in Red Fort (traditional and contemporary jewelry and handicrafts).
Since these are really old and reputed shops, it is guaranteed that the
product is bound to be good.
Netaji Subhash Statue
Netaji was born in affluent family and was highly educated but gave it
all up for the freedom struggle. The statue in the Netaji Subhash
Chandra Bose Park reminds us of the great martyr.
