Nestled
amidst the diplomatic community, Nehru Park in Delhi is a vast stretch
of green land. It is very pleasant and peaceful with its picturesque
environment. This park is spread over 75 acres of land and is quite
costly in terms of upkeep. The place is named after India's first Prime
Minister Jawaharlal Nehru and the entire park is full of little mounds
and rocks inscribed with his quotations. Nehru Park looks especially
beautiful during spring season when most of its flowering plants are in
full bloom. The park is becoming very popular with joggers, morning
walkers, picnickers and young couples. Location
Nehru Park in Delhi is located at Chanakyapuri, quite close to Ashoka Hotel, on main Panchsheel Road, next to Santushti Complex.

Cultural Health
Every month Nehru Park hosts a programme called 'Morning Ragas', a mini musical concert where a musicians and vocalists from all over the world perform for the diplomatic audience. This two hour musical sojourn is supplemented by diverse art shows amongst the lush green surroundings. This monthly indulgence of art and music is highly awaited in the early mornings for culture lovers.
Other attractions of this park are the early morning free Yoga classes held by Delhi Tourism and Transportation Development Corp (DTTDC) and the education department, as part of the Delhi Government's initiative to promote fitness amongst Delhi residents. The park also serves as a venue for many stately dinners. There is also a swimming pool and a snack bar in the park.
